DUI Driver Thought He Was In Danbury: Trumbull PD

He was pulled over after he crossed the double yellow line, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Danbury man arrested for DUI in Trumbull thought he was back in his town of residence, according to police.

An patrol officer spotted a car go over the double yellow line multiple times in the area of Rt. 127 and Unity Road around 2:30 a.m. Sept. 18, police said.

The driver smelled of alcohol and refused both a field sobriety test and breath test, according to police. Valdenice Dutra, 58, was charged with DUI, failure to drive right and failure to drive in proper lane.
