Electrical, Stove Fires Reported In Trumbull: Long Hill FD
Long Hill Volunteer Fire Company crews responded to "two separate close calls" recently reported in Trumbull.
TRUMBULL, CT — An electrical fire and a stove fire were both recently reported in Trumbull, according to the Long Hill Volunteer Fire Company.
In a Facebook post Saturday night, Long Hill officials said crews responded to "two separate close calls" in town that "could have ended much worse."
According to the fire company, the electrical fire was caused by an outlet and the stove fire occurred while cooking.

Both incidents are currently under investigation by the fire marshal's office, Long Hill officials said.
The department also reminded residents of the importance of having working smoke detectors in their home.

"The [National Fire Protection Association] reports that nearly three out of five deaths in house fires were from homes without functioning smoke detectors," the fire company's post reads.
