Employee Robbed at Trumbull Mall

The victim was assaulted by two suspects in a parking lot, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — Police are investigating after a department store employee was robbed at the mall Tuesday night in a parking lot.

A Target employee was assaulted and robbed of his backpack and jacket by two unknown suspects Jan. 3 around 4:30 p.m., said Lt. Keith Golding, police spokesman.
The victim told police he noticed three males parked in a vehicle in front of his and one of them got out and walked past the victim's car, Golding said.

The victim exited his car and was struck in the head and a second victim punched and kicked the victim while shouting for him to give up his phone.
The victim broke free, but lost his backpack and jacket in the process. The suspects are believed to be teenagers.
