The Connecticut Chamber Choir presents A Bernstein Celebration on Sunday, May 6th at 4:00 p.m.
Using the Roman Catholic Mass as his vehicle in Mass, Bernstein blends his own passion for peace along with a particularly Jewish practice of occasionally addressing God in confrontational terms, into a musical odyssey that expresses the crisis of faith of the 1960s. We have also included Make Our Garden Grow, the finale of Bernstein’s hugely popular operetta from the 1950’s.
