Fairchild Wheeler Multi-Magnet Continues to Win Awards

Congratulations to all three schools at The Interdistrict Science Magnet Schools at the Fairchild Wheeler Campus, Bridgeport on their awards from Magnet Schools of America! They have been awarded the Magnet School of Excellence for 2020.

• Niche.com lists The Aerospace/Hydrospace and Physical Sciences High School at Fairchild Wheeler as #4 for the Best Magnet High Schools in Connecticut.

• The IT school has earned the College Board’s AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for attaining female student representation in AP Computer Science Principles (CSP) for 2019. Out of 20,000 institutions that offer AP courses, 818 have earned the award. The Information Technology & Software Engineering High School at Fairchild Wheeler is one of them!

• David Vesto (FCW Aero/Hydro) has been selected as the Region I Teacher of the Year. This award is a competitive process to honor and elevate the magnet teachers who promote equity and diversity for students in magnet schools.
