Fake Bomb Threat Forces Evacuation of Trumbull Bus: PD
The bus was searched and no bombs were found. Police are considering filing charges against a teen.

TRUMBULL, CT — Police are investigating after an erroneous bomb threat on a Trumbull school bus forced an evacuation.
A portion of Booth Hill Road was closed around 3 p.m. Monday after police became aware of a bomb threat, said Lt. Keith Golding, police spokesman.
"Officers tracked down the source of the report and learned that it was relayed from another student who made the comments several days earlier," he said.

A student texted a parent and said he or she didn't feel safe on the bus. The parent contacted the bus company who in turn contacted police.
"The bus was searched by specially trained bomb sniffing dogs from the MTA Police Department," Golding said. "No explosives were found and the bus was deemed safe."

Students were transferred to another bus and were transported home. The road re-opened after about an hour.
"Officers continued their investigation to determine whether charges would be lodged against the 15 year old who made the original threat," Golding said.
