Suspected Fatal Heroin OD Occurred in Trumbull: PD

Emergency crews responded to Starbucks on White Plains Rd. after an unconscious person was found in a bathroom.

A 24-year-old Stratford man died after a suspected heroin overdose in Trumbull.

Police and EMS responded to Starbucks on White Plains Road around 2 p.m. Wednesday. A person told a manager that a friend was in the bathroom for a half an hour and the manager opened the door to find the victim lying face down on the floor.

Attempts to resuscitate the victim were unsuccessful and he was later pronounced dead at St. Vincent’s Hospital, police said.

Evidence at the scene indicated he had used heroin. Police continue to investigate.
