Fatal Trumbull Crash Victim Identified

TRUMBULL, CT — Police have identified the fatal victim from Friday evening's crash as Trumbull man Eric Gabrielson, 54.

Gabrielson was operating a pickup truck on Daniels Farm Road when it crossed into the northbound lane and struck a Volkswagen Jetta, said Lt. Brian Weir, police spokesman.

The Jetta spun around and stopped in a nearby residential lawn while the truck crashed into a nearby residence.

"As of this time, the cause of the accident is unknown, but officers are working to determine whether Gabrielson’s medical condition may have played a role in the accident," Weir said.
