Fight Over Hitting Baby in Trumbull Mall Parking Lot Leads to Charges: PD
A fight over hitting a baby turned to violence, according to police.

TRUMBULL, CT—Two Bridgeport residents were arrested after an argument escalated to violence, according to police.
Officers responded to the mall near the Target area on a report of a dispute. The two arrestees have a child in common.
Mother Shashahona Middleton, 24, told police that she was driving Rakim Turner, 23, to work and their baby was in the backseat of the vehicle, according to police. Turner had hit the baby and Middleton said the baby was being hit too hard.

She tried to push Turner out of the car and Turner pushed back, police said. He got out of the vehicle and as she went to pull the vehicle over she nearly hit him. She claimed she was attempting to park and didn't mean to nearly hit Turner.
Both were charged with risk of injury to a minor and disorderly conduct. She was released on a promise to appear and he was given a $1,000 bond.
