Firefighters Knock Down Trumbull Kitchen Fire

The fire occurred Friday morning.

TRUMBULL, CT — Long Hill Volunteer firefighters doused a large kitchen fire on Frederick Street Friday morning.

Crews responded at 6:09 a.m. and found smoke pouring out of the ranch-style home. Crews brought a hose line in through the garage and knocked down visible fire from the kitchen, according to the department's Facebook page.

Fire was contained to the kitchen.

Trumbull Center and Nichols Fire Departments also assisted along with Trumbull Police. Crews were back in service after two hours.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Fire Marshal's office.

Two adults are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
