"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of fallen police officers, Lt. Dustin DeMonte and Sgt. Alec Hamzy, as their funerals are held this morning. We thank them for their selflessness and their courage as they responded to a tragic call for service. There are no words that can comfort or change what happened, but we hold their loved ones in our hearts and hope that they find comfort in memories of happier times. May they rest in peace."
