Former Trumbull First Selectman Baldwin Files Complaint Against Himself

He said he filed the complaint after he found out contributions made to the DTC weren't in compliance with the law.

Former First Selectman Ray Baldwin filed a complaint against himself after he contributed more than $7,000 to the local Democratic Town Committee.

The controversy arose because Baldwin works as president of St. Vincent’s Special Needs Center Inc., which receives some funding from the State of Connecticut. That qualifies the organization as a state contractor, according to the Connecticut Post.

Baldwin filed the complaint in order to get ahead of it after learning of his mistake, he said.
