Giovanna Antoniani, 85 of Trumbull

Giovanna Maini Antoniani, age 85, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Antoniani, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at home with her family by her side. Born in Strangolagalli, Province of Frosinone, Italy on August 5, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Benedetto and Catarina Maini.

Mrs. Antoniani was a quality control inspector at Cornwall and Patterson for over 20 years before her retirement. She loved knitting and crocheting sweaters and blankets for her family. Her family will always remember what a great cook she was, her magnificent homemade pasta and sauce was always a treat.

Survivors include four sons, Silvio Antoniani of North Carolina, Joseph Antoniani and his wife Diane of Cheshire, John Antoniani and his wife Diane of Stratford and Perry Antoniani and his wife Wendy of North Carolina, a sister, Elvira Maini Lombardi, two brothers, Guido Maini and his wife Maria and Eugenio Maini and his wife Nicolina all of Trumbull, six grandchildren, Joseph, John Paul, Jeremy, Sarah, Michael and Andrew, three great grandchildren, Abbey, Joey and Danny. She was predeceased by two sisters, Domenica Maini DeVellis and Gina Maini Fratarcangeli.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
