Half Empty Bottle Of Vodka Leads To DUI Arrest: Trumbull PD

There was a half empty bottle of vodka in the vehicle, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport man was charged with DUI after an officer found him with a half empty pint of vodka in his vehicle, according to police.

An officer was near the Mobil station on Nichols Avenue when he heard a car drive through the closed station. The vehicle sounded like it was dragging a damaged piece on the ground.

The officer stopped the vehicle and noticed the vodka, two nip bottles and marijuana inside, police said.

Operator Christopher Adao, 20, said he drank about half a pint of vodka, according to police. He failed a field sobriety test and his BAC results were .188 and .183, according to police. He was charged with DUI and possession of marijuana.
