'Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound' Leads To Heavy Police Response At Movie Theater: Trumbull Police
A "self-inflicted gunshot wound" prompted a heavy police response at a movie theater in town, according to the Trumbull Police Department.
TRUMBULL, CT — A person with "a self-inflicted gunshot wound" prompted a heavy police presence at a movie theater in town Wednesday afternoon, according to the Trumbull Police Department.
In an email to Patch around 3 p.m., Police Lt. Brian Falkenstein said officers were called to the parking lot of the AMC Marquis 16 movie theater after the incident was reported.
The person was taken to an area hospital and the incident is currently being investigated, Falkenstein said.

No other injuries were reported, according to Falkenstein.
Falkenstein also noted the incident was isolated and there is no threat to the public.

In a community update posted to Facebook around 1:30 p.m., the department said there was a "heavy police presence" at the theater, which is located on Quarry Road in Trumbull.
