Herbst Pitches Retreat to Ease Partisan Tensions

First Selectman Tim Herbst has pitched the idea of a weekend retreat for town Republican and Democrat leaders to help ease animosity on social media.

Herbst said the retreat would be moderated by a trained professional, according to the Trumbull Times. His former challenger Vicki Tesoro said the idea was interesting, but details would need to be ironed out among party leaders.

Newly-elected Treasurer Anthony Musto said people should be civil in person whether it be in town or at Town Council meetings.
