Herbst Plans for Future Term
First Selectman Tim Herbst laid out some of his goals for the upcoming two-year term.

First Selectman Tim Herbst reflected on his narrow election victory and his plans for the town going forward.
Herbst said he is committed to finding common ground with Democrats in town and that he would support Democrats for the chairmanship of some boards and commissions, according to the Trumbull Times.
He said that reports that he was considering a 2018 run for governor likely hurt his campaign and that many voters were worried that he didn’t have plans to stick around. Herbst said that he wouldn’t be going anywhere for his upcoming two-year term. As for 2018 he said he is focused on the present right now.
