Herbst Raises $83k for State Run
The amount puts Herbst one-third of the way toward qualifying for state funds in a governor race.

TRUMBULL, CT — First Selectman Tim Herbst has raised more than $83,000 during the first quarter of 2017 for his exploratory run for state office.
The amount puts Herbst one-third of the way toward qualifying for Citizens Election Program funds for a gubernatorial run. Herbst's committee has focused efforts on raising qualifying funds with 935 unique individual donors.
"I could not be more pleased with our first quarter haul," Herbst said Thursday, "We are building clear momentum behind the idea that if we want different results from Hartford, we simply cannot send the same old insiders back to Hartford who have been a part of the problem."
