Herbst Raises Nearly $150k for Gubernatorial Run

The vast majority of the donations come from in-state residents.

TRUMBULL, CT — First Selectman and GOP governor candidate Tim Herbst announced that his campaign has raised more than $148,000 in the first two quarters of 2017 for his gubernatorial run.

The funds were raised from 1,644 individual donors, 92 percent of whom are in-state. About 96 percent of the total raised will count as qualifying funds under the Citizens Election Program.

"With this second strong quarter of fundraising we are in tremendous shape to finish raising the necessary qualifying funds by early 2018," Herbst said. "We can then turn our attention to winning support at the GOP convention and bringing our message to voters statewide."
