Herbst Targets Old College Rival in State House Race

Tim Herbst has formed a PAC to help Republicans gain legislative seats. One of his targets is old college rival David Alexander.

TRUMBULL, CT—Republican First Selectman Tim Herbst and Democrat State Rep. David Alexander are heating up rivalry that started at Trinity College.

Both ran for student body president and Herbst won, according to the Hartford Courant.

Now Herbst has organized a political action committee and Alexander is one of his targets. Alexander accused Herbst of creating the PAC for his own self interests. Herbst said the PAC isn't personal and is about getting more Republicans into legislative seats.
