How Trumbull Voted In Tuesday's CT Primary Elections

TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull voters sided with the eventual winners in two of Connecticut's primary races Tuesday, backing Gov. Ned Lamont for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination and Michael Ted Goldstein in the Republican primary for the 4th Congressional District.

Lamont received 1,100 votes, or 69.4 percent, in Trumbull, while Democratic challenger Josh Elliott received 485 votes, or 30.6 percent, according to unofficial results.

Lamont won the Democratic nomination statewide, defeating Elliott in his bid for a third term. He will face Republican Ryan Fazio in the November general election.

On the Republican side, Trumbull voters also favored Goldstein in the race to challenge Democratic U.S. Rep. Jim Himes in Connecticut's 4th Congressional District.

Goldstein received 362 votes, or 63.29 percent, in Trumbull, compared with 210 votes, or 36.71 percent, for Daniel Miressi.

Goldstein won the Republican nomination and will face Himes in November.
