iPhone X Fraud Gets Man Hefty Larceny Charge: Trumbull PD
The phones are expensive enough to amount to a felony charge.

TRUMBULL, CT — A College Point, NY man was arrested after he fraudulently tried to buy a pair of iPhone X smartphones at the Hawley Lane Best Buy, according to police.
Darius Mosley, 24, was arrested June 22nd after he tried to fraudulently purchase the two phones each valued at $1,150, police said. A worker at the store became suspicious and contacted police.
Mosley tried to flee but a nearby K-9 unit arrived at the scene and Mosley decided to give himself up.

The total fraud amount would have been $2,600, police said.
He was charged with criminal attempt at third-degree larceny, criminal attempt at third-degree identity theft, criminal attempt at impersonation and interfering with police. He was held on $30,000 bail.
