Irene (Makatura) Varszegi, age 95, of Trumbull, passed away April 15, 2020 in her home.
Mrs. Varszegi was born in Panyok, Hungary to the late Joseph and Susan Makatura. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Janos (John) Varszegi. She was the devoted mother of her only child Paul-Stephen Varszegi of Trumbull, CT. She is also survived by many dear friends and extended family members.
Mrs. Varszegi was an avid gardener. She loved the outdoors and was often seen on her new tractor, mowing her two-acre lawn well into her nineties, when she finally agreed to let her son take over the job as she became ill.
