Jury Sides With Trumbull Firefighters In Legal Fight: Report
A retired Trumbull police officer claimed he was struck by a Trumbull fire truck, but a jury reportedly ruled against him.
TRUMBULL, CT — George Coleman, a retired Trumbull police officer, lost a lawsuit this month that he had filed against the Trumbull Center Fire District in which he claimed one of its fire trucks struck him in 2018, reported the Connecticut Post.
Coleman, who was still on the Force at the time, claimed that the fire truck hit him while he was directing traffic on Church Hill Road.
The truck was driven by former Trumbull firefighter Christopher Lioti, who testified in court that he did not hit Coleman. Another Trumbull firefighter who was on the truck at the time, Lt. Konstantin Tartakovsky, reportedly corroborated Lioti's account.
