TRUMBULL, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested after he conspired to steal more than $25,000 from the Kennedy Center through a check scheme, according to police.

The Kennedy Center was contacted by a bank and learned that checks were cashed for more than $300 despite that specific account having a $300-per-check limit, police said. The center investigated and found more than $25,000 in unauthorized checks had been written.

State Police contacted Trumbull Police in November 2018 after Kennedy Center checks were found on a state DMV copy machine, police said. Video of the incident was reviewed and Isaac Jones, 27, was seen making copies of items, but then leaving them on top of the copy machine, police said.
