Kilogram of Marijuana Seized In Trumbull: PD

TRUMBULL, CT — Officers arrested a Trumbull man who was in possession of around a kilogram of marijuana, according to police.

Police pulled over Johnny Calo, 25, April 17 due to an expired registration. An officer smelled marijuana and found that Calo had 19 grams on his person, said Lt. Brian Weir, police spokesman.

Officers then found 287 cans that each contained 3.5 ounces of marijuana each for a total amount of 1023.5 grams, Weir said.

Calo was charged with possession of more than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
