'Large Amounts Of Narcotics' Found In Vehicle Stopped In Trumbull: State Police

Two people were arrested after troopers found large amounts of narcotics in a vehicle stopped in Trumbull, according to state police.

TRUMBULL, CT — Two people were arrested after troopers found large amounts of narcotics in a vehicle stopped in Trumbull, according to Connecticut State Police Troop G.

In a news release posted to Facebook, state police said troopers were working a joint operation in the southwest area of Connecticut on Feb. 24 to locate a blue 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness believed to contain a large quantity of narcotics.

The vehicle was found traveling northbound on Route 15 in the area of Greenwich, state police said.

When troopers located the vehicle near Exit 29 and tried to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle abruptly got off at Exit 30 in Trumbull and came to a stop, according to state police.

During a traffic stop, troopers and other law enforcement officials found large amounts of narcotics in the vehicle, according to state police.

Two occupants of the vehicle were arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell drugs/narcotics and possession of a controlled substance. Their identities were not provided by state police.

Their bonds were both set at $5,000 and they are scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to state police.
