Large Tree Falls Across Pequonnock River Trail In Trumbull

TRUMBULL, CT — A large tree has fallen across the Pequonnock River Trail, making the trail temporarily impassable, according to town officials.

In a news release Monday, town officials said the tree fell in the middle of the section between Tait Road and Whitney Avenue.

The tree is scheduled to be removed Wednesday, however travelers may find the trail impassable until then, town officials said.

United Illuminating is also scheduled to remove two trees Tuesday near the entrance to the trail at Tait Road. There will be no trail access from Tait Road until UI has completed its work, town officials said.
