Experience: Board of Education

Family in government: no

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

With regard to the Board of Ed, insure we provide the best education for our students. During my term as Chair, and we hired a new HR person who will pursue all avenues to attract the best and brightest for our school community. We will continue to enhance our programs and incrementally rebuild as we emerge from the pandemic.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

My educational experience, building experience, a rational and practical outlook on what is best for our community, the support of teaching staff and wisdom, which by the way, and comes with a seasoned administrator.

Accomplishments:

I served as the educational liaison during the building renovation of Trumbull High School. As a result, I received the Making a Difference Award from Bridgeport Education Initiative (BEI) organization. As the Board Chair and a Member of the Board of Education for six years, we brought on a new team of administrators including, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Business Director, Director of Pupil Personnel Services, and Director of Operations.

Other issues:

Reinstating the Grade 5 World Language Program in Spanish Revitalizing the Planetarium Build a New Weight Room (est. 1974) for all Physical Education Curricula and all Sports

What else would you like voters to know about you?

Trumbull will always be number one for me! Programs and students and staff are paramount. Ensuring that our public schools remain high quality and innovative while recognizing the financial impact on our Town.
