Man Arrested for Robbing Elderly Trumbull Woman: PD
The man followed the elderly woman to her home from a nearby grocery store, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT—A Bridgeport man was arrested for a February 2015 robbery from an elderly woman in her own garage, according to police.
Jeffrey McNicholas, 34, assaulted an elderly woman as she exited her car in her own garage, police said. He grabbed her from behind and threw her to the ground as he ripped her purse from her.
McNicholas followed the woman and her husband from a nearby grocery store.

He fled the scene in a vehicle.
Trumbull Police began a lengthy investigation and eventually identified McNicholas. Police spotted him walking toward his apartment building Aug. 22 when they went to serve him with the warrant.

McNicholas had 10 packets of a powdery substance that was later identified as heroin.
He was charged with robbery and possession of narcotics and was held on a $50,000 bond and a $10,000 bond.
