Man Charged with DUI After Trumbull Hit-and-Run

Trumbull, CT — An Oxford man was charged with DUI March 19 after fleeing an accident scene, police said.

Police responded to Edison Road near Barbara Street around 2:17 a.m. for the accident. Lukas Oczkowski, 25, and a passenger fled the scene on foot, police said. They were apprheneded moments later.

Oczkowski was taken to police headquarters and failed a field sobriety test, according to police. He refused a blood-alcohol test.

No injuries were reported in the accident

Ockowski was charged with DUI and evading responsibility.
