
TRUMBULL, CT- A Stratford man crashed his vehicle in Trumbull before being revived after an apparent heroin overdose, police said.
Police responded to Main Street around 4:16 p.m. on March 1 on a report of an erratic driver. The motorist struck several street signs before he hit another vehicle and came to a stop.
Emergency responders performed CPR on the man after it appeared he was in cardiac arrest, police said. Heroin was discovered in his wallet and he was given naloxone intravenously. His condition immediately improved.

The man, identified as Rory O'brien, 22, didn't know where he was and said he was trying to get on Route 15.
He admitted to snorting heroin before driving, police said. He was taken to the hospital for further treatment.

A blood test didn't test for opiates, but based on the evidence at the scene he was charged with DUI, failure to drive right, possession of a hallucinogen.
He turned himself in June 4.
