Man Steals from Trumbull Store, Pretends He is Juvenile: PD

TRUMBULL, CT — A Stamford man got in a double dose of trouble after he shoplifted a vest from Lord and Taylor and then lied to officers about his age, according to police.

Police responded to the store after getting the shoplifting report. Jose Perez, 18, took a $165 Polo vest without paying, police said. He cut security tags with a knife.

He was charged with sixth-degree larceny, interfering with police, possession of a shoplifting device and third-degree forgery.
