Marijuana Fudge Seized in Trumbull, 3 Charged: PD

Officers began investigating after getting a tip about drug dealing, according to police.

TRUMBULL, CT—Police seized about half a pound of marijuana-infused fudge along with marijuana and fake identification after a motor vehicle stop, according to police.

Police got an anonymous tip about possible drug dealing on Brian Drive. Officers surveyed the area and found some suspicious activity, according to police.

A grey Mitsubishi pulled up to the house and a resident came out and entered the vehicle.

The vehicle was stopped by police because it didn't have a front license plate.

Inside police found two sandwich bags filled with marijuana and a total of seven square pieces of fudge that contained marijuana. The two bags weighed 1.49 ounces and the fudge squares weighed about eight ounces, police said.

Rey Murray, 19, of Trumbull was charged with possession with intent to sell a controlled substance, possession of a hallucinogen greater than four ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Adam Dawe, 19, was charged with two counts of second-degree forgery and possession of less than four ounces of marijuana. He had two fake identification cards on him, police said.

Jonathan Surporn, 19, of Trumbull was charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana.
