New AED donated for Veteran and First Reponders Center
At the July 9th meeting Hartford Health Care made AED and financial donation.
With the building of the new Veterans and First Responders building well underway, contributions and support continue to grow. At the July 9th meeting representatives from Hartford Health Care/ St. Vincent’s Hospital made a financial donation and donated an AED (automated external defibrillator) to the post. Presenting the AED and the financial donation from St. Vincent’s were William Jennings, President of St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Andrew Turcak, Senior VP, and Wes Young, Director of EMS Operations. In addition to the financial donation St. Vincent’s will conduct training sessions and hold clinics on the use of the AED at the building, which will benefit veterans and the local public. They have also committed to additional clinics and on-site activities to assist veterans to receive the care they need. The VFW and American Legion are dedicated to providing the best service they can at the new facility.

Most residents of Trumbull know of Beach’s pool, part of the Robert G. Beach Memorial Park. Also located in the park is a 155mm WW II era howitzer dedicated to the memory of Private Robert G. Beach. Along with 62 other soldiers Private Beach was killed July 3rd, 1944, at the age of 19 while stationed in London by a Nazi V1 bomb attack.
