Connecticut's Best School Districts: New Rankings Released

Niche has ranked Connecticut's best school districts for 2019 and the New Canaan district is the best in the state. The rankings were released this month by Niche as part of its 2019 K-12 rankings. Niche ranked a total of 86 districts in Connecticut.

New Canaan was followed by the Westport, Darien, Weston and Amity Regional districts for the top five.

To arrive at the rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the methodology here.

Each district received a letter grade in the following categories: Academics; Diversity; Teachers; College Prep; Clubs & Activities; Health & Safety; Administration; Sports; Food; and Resources & Facilities.
