No Explosive Found on Trumbull School Bus: PD

A bus was evacuated Friday afternoon after a driver thought there may be an explosive.

TRUMBULL, CT — Police found no evidence of an explosive on a bus in Trumbull after a search.

A bus driver indicated around 3 p.m. Friday that there was an incident with students on board. Police met the bus at the intersection of White Plains Road and Reservoir Avenue. The bus driver believed there may have been explosives on the bus, police said.

The bus was evacuated and searched.

"There is an ongoing investigation by police but we would like to reassure parents of students and the public that this was an isolated incident and there was no danger," said Lt. Doug Smith, police spokesman. "The roadways in the area have been re-opened to traffic."
