Obit: Albert Watcke, 90, Formerly Of Trumbull

He was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran and a member of the Teamsters union.

Albert P. Watcke, age 90, of Shelton and formerly of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Mildred (Millie) Simna Watcke, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 with his family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on January 8, 1928, he was a son of the late John Sr. and Sophie Skiber Watcke. A U.S. Marine Corp. veteran, Albert was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was the operator of Watcke Trucking and was a driver for Lombard Brothers Trucking. Albert enjoyed his time at Thunderbird Park in Fort Myers, Florida, where he was a member of the horseshoe club. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his sons, William Watcke of Huntington and Alan Watcke and his wife Debbie of Trumbull; his grandchildren, Jennifer Conover and her husband Wayne of Saratoga Springs, NY, Dawn Emerman and her husband Dave of Guilford, Alexis Watcke of Trumbull and Stephanie Deeb and her husband Bassell of Stamford; his great grandchildren, Joshua, Annabelle, Chloe, Anderson and Olivia; as well as several nieces and nephews. Albert predeceased by a grandson, Brian Watcke, siblings, Marie, John, Lou, Joseph, Carl and Henry.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1 – 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
