On November 8th, the day marking the 5 year anniversary of being diagnosed with ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease), Amy wrote: “My life today is not what I could have imagined, but it is a life worth living. I am loved, I am needed, I am generally happy and I am contributing to my world around me.” Her beautiful smile was present right up through Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas tree decorating with her family.
