He worked at G.E. Capitol for more than 35 years and was awarded two ribbons for U.S. Navy service.

Richard N. Lamy, age 88, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at Cambridge Manor, Fairfield. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn Kenney Lamy. Born in Springfield, MA on July 21, 1930 he was the son of the late Joseph Medric Lamy and Corrine Monette Lamy.
A proud veteran of the Korean War he had served honorably in the U.S. Navy, where he had received the United Nations Ribbon and the Korean Service Ribbon. Mr. Lamy had attended Western New England College and was later employed by G.E. Capital, where he became the Senior Manager of Credit Operations before his retirement with over 35 years of dedicated service.

His faith was extremely important to him and he was actively involved with Christ the King Church in Trumbull, for over 45 years, he was an usher, religious education teacher and was the coordinator of the Bishop's Appeal for many years in the parish. He was proud to have been awarded the St. Augustine Medal in 2011. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, UConn Women's Huskies and the New England Patriots. He was a man of great strength and courage, especially during his final days. He found his greatest enjoyment while spending time with his family. He enjoyed attending and supporting his grandchildren in all their activities and sporting events. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
