Obituary: Chinnary Ratanavong, 80, Of Trumbull

Chinnary Ratanavong, age 80, of Trumbull, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 surrounded by her 5 children by her bedside at Yale New Haven Health/ Bridgeport Hospital.

Born in Pakse, Laos, Chinnary graduated from the College of Thakhek and Law School of Vientiane in Laos. She was a former Judge at the Appeals Court of Vientiane. She retired from Vishay after working for many years.

Her hobbies included cooking, sewing and gardening. She was a kind, generous, and loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She brought warmth, genuineness, and creative spirit to the people that she connected with.

She was predeceased by her late husband, Nou Eng Ratanavong and parents, Sinoune and Khamphao Phetphim. Chinnary is survived by her five children, Khongphrachanh Davie (late John), Savannary Antonini (Jeffrey), Susan Ratanavong-Nadesan (Revindran), Michael Ratanavong (Anne Liu) and Diana Ratanavong (Tom Feelgood), and one granddaughter, Geeta Sara. She was predeceased by one brother and survived by seven siblings.

Friends and family are invited to attend the wake on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 9 a.m. at Cyril F.
