Obituary: Daniel M. Nastasia Sr., 90, Of Trumbull
Dan was the owner and operator of Olympic Fuel, a driving instructor for CT Limousine and was even given a tryout for the New York Yankees.

Daniel M. Nastasia Sr., age 90, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Dorothy Prezioso Nastasia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 26, 2023 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Bridgeport on November 11, 1932, he was a son of the late Daniel J. and Rose Carrafiello Nastasia. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Dan was the owner and operator of Olympic Fuel and also was a driving instructor for CT Limousine.

A graduate of Central High School Class of 1952, Dan went on to the University of Bridgeport; where he played football. He was proud to have been given a tryout for the New York Yankees. He was an avid golfer and a huge fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team.
But above all things he was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He treasured time spent with family, especially his grandchildren. The values he taught and the unconditional love he gave will forever be in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife of 66 years, Dorothy, survivors include his loving children, Daniel M. Nastasia Jr. and his wife Barbara, Dana Nastasia and her partner Eric Moutinho and Danielle Carlucci and her partner Jeff Rossomando, six cherished grandchildren, Alyssa, Amelia, Charlie, Marissa, Maggie and Nicholas, two sisters, Patricia Plunkett and Mary Jane Buchanan, a brother, John Nastasia and his wife Linda, a sister-in-law, Eileen Prezioso, lifelong friend, Porky Vieira, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Michael R. Nastasia Sr. and his father and mother-in-law, Emil and Rose Prezioso.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m to 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
