Obituary: Erik Tlatelpa, 41, Of Trumbull

Erik N. Tlatelpa, age 41, of Trumbull, CT passed away on June 3rd, 2022 after a long fight against pancreatic cancer. While this horrible disease ultimately claimed his life, Erik fought hard for more than two years to spend as much time as possible with those he loved.

He was a devoted husband to Katherine Linnet, whom he shared more than 15 years with and a loving father to two amazing children Nicholas, age 6, and Rafael, age 4. Erik was born in Passaic, New Jersey on March 26th, 1981 a son of Donaciano and Beda (Quinones) Tlatelpa.

Erik went on to have a prosperous educational career which led him to Rutgers University and John Hopkins University where he earned a Masters in finance. His years of hard work paid off when he became the Chief Financial Officer for Snow Partners.

Being a native of New Jersey, he found his love of the New York Giants and New York Mets and became an avid fan for all his life. Erik enjoyed many things in life which included wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, and traveling around the world. At the end of the day what mattered most was being with his friends and family.

Besides his loving wife, two sons and parents, Erik is survived by his grandmother Carmen Garcia Tlatelpa; three siblings Maria Dedios, David Tlatelpa, and Kayla Tlatelpa, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held by the family at a later date.
