Obituary: Grace Bennett, 91, Of Trumbull

Grace (Costa) Bennett, age 91, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Shelton Lakes. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael C. Bennett. Born in Bridgeport on October 18, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Louis A. and Mary (Guadagno) Costa.

Grace had been employed by Vitramon, where she worked as a shipping clerk for many years before her retirement and built many friendships. She enjoyed playing BINGO and looked forward to her regularly scheduled games on Wednesdays with her friends.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her loving sons, Michael J. Bennett and his wife Cynthia of Genoa, NV, and Joseph C. Bennett of Derby, her cherished grandchildren, Carey, Nathan, Katherine, Jessie, Joseph, Ian and Stephanie, her sisters, Ida Leonardi of Bridgeport and Rose Poe of CA. In addition to her beloved husband Michael, she was also predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Grace Almariri, her sister, Nellie McCausland and her brothers, John, Louis, Salvator and Joseph Costa.

A Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 12 p.m. in Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, Section A.
