Obituary: James D. Blomberg, 37; Trumbull High School Graduate
James, who worked as a vice president at GE, will always be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his family, friends and faith

James Donald Blomberg, 37, devoted husband to Sangita Malhotra Blomberg, of Greenfield Hill in Fairfield, passed away suddenly on December 31, 2016.
In addition to Sangita, his loving wife of eight years, many beautiful memories of James will be embraced by his cherished son, Grayson James Blomberg; his parents, Donald and Christine Blomberg; one sister, Shannon Blomberg; maternal grandmother, Helen Szamotula; parents-in-law, Vinay and Santosh Malhotra; sister-in-law, Sarika Parikh, and her husband, Ashin; one niece, Ava Coyle; four nephews, Andrew Coyle, Ajay, Rohan, and Sanjay Parikh; many aunts, uncles, cousins, loyal friends and respected colleagues. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Donald and Elizabeth Blomberg and maternal grandfather, Walter Szamotula.

James graduated from Trumbull High School in 1997 and Syracuse University in 2001, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering.
James was a creative thinker who had a passion for design, innovation, and technology. These talents propelled him into a successful and fulfilling 15-year career, serving most recently as the Vice President of Digital Media Technology for GE.

A world-class leader, James made a significant impact on the company and built a preeminent team that led GE's Digital transformation. Not limited to his workplace, James was generous with his time and skills, giving inspiration, thoughtful advice, and guidance to create solutions unachievable without his direction.
He will always be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion to his family, friends and faith.
Calling hours will be held this Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, Fairfield. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Peter Cipriani this Saturday at 1pm in Assumption Church, 545 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, in Monroe. Hindu prayers will be held at Hindu Samaj Mandir Temple in Mahwah, NJ on Monday, January 9 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
