Obituary: John Carmolingo, 66, Of Trumbull

John Carmolingo, age 66, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Pattie O'Brien Carmolingo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2023 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Bridgeport on December 13, 1956 he was a son of the late Aurelio N. and Carmella Silano Carmolingo.

He was the owner and operator of Milford Auto Sales for over 40 years. John was a strategic businessman, he owned and operated several local businesses, including Black Rock & Blue. He was also a member of the Circolo Sportivo American Club.

But above all things, he was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was at his best when surrounded by family and his smile would light the room when his grandson was by his side. The unconditional love he gave and the values he taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Pattie who he shared over 40 years with. His survivors also include his four loving children, Jessica Howell, John R. Carmolingo, Julia Carmolingo (Zach Maisto) and Lauren Carmolingo, his adored grandson John Maisto, four siblings, Mary Jane Caron (Mark), Richard Carmolingo, Michelle Loschiavo (Carmen) and Lynn Kuruc (Ray), brother-in-law, Owen O'Brien (Colleen), nieces and nephews, Amanda, Josh, Brianna, Nicholas, Jon Mychael, Christian, Taylor, Alyssa, Alex, Ryan, Dottie, Mikey and Kelly and his beloved fur-baby, Pluto. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Carmolingo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 10 a.m. directly in Christ the King Church, 4200 Madison Ave., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
