Marie O. Gedeon, of Trumbull, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at the age of 101.

Born in Haiti on December 16, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Saintois and Telcina Gedeon.

Marie is survived by her children, Yvon Philitas and his wife Flore of Norwalk, Myreille Philitas and Andree Maryse Philitas of Trumbull, Pierre Philitas and his wife Marthe of Stratford, her grandchildren Dominique Philitas, Sagine Philitas, Myriam Natalie Philitas, her sister Suzanne Gedeon of Orlando, her brothers Osbert and Raymond Gedeon, her nephews Jean-Robert, Mario, Wilbert, Wesner, Eric, Pinto Gedeon, her nieces Verlaine, Nadia, Lucette Florette

Marie is predeceased by her husband Nocles Philitas.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 12, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 13, at 9 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
