Obituary: Martin J. Brown Jr., 92, Of Trumbull

Martin J. (Marty) Brown Jr., age 92, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Rosemary (Chi Chi) Palatella Brown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Bridgeport on August 2, 1931, he was the son of the late Martin J. Sr., and Ann Sullivan Brown. A Trumbull resident for over 45 years, Marty was a retired mechanic for CT Light & Power and a carpenter at Fairfield University.

Martin was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who loved to spend time surrounded by family. He was a great storyteller who had a terrific sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh. He could light up a room with his beautiful smile and smiling eyes. To know him was to truly love him. The values he taught and unconditional love he showed will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his two loving daughters, Maria Brown of Trumbull, and Susie Brown Macos and her husband Steve Macos of Trumbull and his cherished and adored grandson Steven. He was predeceased by his beloved aunt Mamie Colanari who raised him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023 in St. Stephen Church, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
