OnStar Helps Nab Trumbull Car Thief: PD
OnStar was able to remotely turn off the vehicle and track its location. Officers found the thief attempting to restart it, police said.

TRUMBULL, CT — A man was arrested after he stole a car in order to get to his job at UPS in Stratford, according to police.
A resident called police June 25 to report her Chevrolet Traverse had been stolen. The vehicle was unlocked with the keys inside.
Police worked with OnStar to remotely shut off the vehicle and track its location. Officers found Julio Figueroa, 19, inside the vehicle attempting to figure out how to turn the vehicle back on, police said. Items stolen from other vehicles were found in his possession.

He told officers he took the vehicle in order to get to his job, police said. He was charged with first-degree larceny, third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny.
