Trumbull resident Debra Silber tells Patch why she should be elected to the Town Council.

TRUMBULL, CT — The 2023 municipal election is heating up in Trumbull and there are plenty of local races with candidates eager to serve in elected office.

To engage more with my community and support efforts to keep Trumbull a great place to live.

Keeping taxes stable; I will use my role on the town council to advocate for this.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I'm running as part of a team with a solid track record that's proven to be good for Trumbull.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
I will focus on maintaining our parks, recreational and culture resources; supporting continued excellence in our schools, and keeping taxes low and making responsible fiscal decisions.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
As a journalist, I've developed the ability to listen, to ask questions, and to discern the facts around complex matters. As a parent and working mother, I understand the challenges and joys of raising a family and appreciate the role that our community plays in both.
